ALCOR Design Solutions focuses on conceptualizing and engineering design needs for store fronts and displays. A fun fact about the name is that it is the owners family initials.
Cultivated with Care
ALCOR is deeply rooted in family and heritage. The client wanted a color that projected elegance and confidence, he gravitated towards the color blue although he also wanted to see what a Mayan palette would look like to represent his family. The geometric forms, and a clean sans-serif typeface reflects both the precision of engineering and the stability the brand represents. This project challenged me in meaningful ways. It taught me the importance of asking deeper, more strategic questions early in the process, a lesson that has since strengthened how I approach logo and branding projects today.
From Seed to System
The client chose 3 options from the sketches. The first logo represents his family, the second logo represents displays. and third option is a custom font.
Not Every Seed is Meant for Every Garden
It happens! The client did not like the options.
For the second round, I called the client… we met up, had pizza and margaritas, and finished the project. His wife showed a few abstract references which were more of what he gravitated towards. Some people see a sailboat, but in the end, he is happy with the abstract A.
